Visit the site of the town’s first general store, dated from 1840. Bulloch Hall —The outstanding home of Major James Bulloch, Bulloch Hall was built in 1839 and is open for tours. Barrington Hall—This building is known as one of the most beautiful homes in the US, and is an excellent example of Greek Revival Temple Architecture. Barrington Hall took 5 years to build and was completed around 1842. Smith Plantation—Built in 1845, Smith Plantation has the original outbuildings intact and provides a wonderful glimpse into the life of Roswell’s early wealthy residents. Chattahoochee River Park—Located near Roswell’s residential neighborhoods, the popular park offers picnic facilities, a boardwalk, fishing areas, a walking trail, and a playground. Chattahoochee Nature Center—Encompassing 127 acres of protected land, this environmental education facility has 4 nature trails, 2 ponds, an aviary, and a wildlife habitat. Roswell Trail System and River Walk—Roswell’s 16 miles of walking trails include a walk through Vickery Creek Park. See the ruins of the old mills, Vickery Creek, and the Vickery Creek Dam. The Old Mill Covered Pedestrian Bridge connects the trail to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Roswell Heritage Music Festival—Presented by the Roswell Folk & Heritage Bureau, the festival features bluegrass, old-time, folk, and southern gospel music Christmas at Roswell—Christmas in Roswell is “Where Yesterday in Not So Long Ago.” Tour Bulloch Hall, Smith Plantation, and Barrington Hall decorated for the holidays, with many attractions in Historic Roswell throughout the Christmas season.
